Between 3 and 8 September 2023, the “European Aerosol Conference2023” (European Aerosols Conference 2023 - EAC2023) took place in Malaga, Spain. EAC conferences are organized annually by the European Aerosol Assembly (EAA) and welcome participants from around the world — scientists, engineers, researchers, companies, institutions and users involved in the science, technology, impact, measurements and characterization of aerosols from natural or anthropogenic sources — to share their work and experiences in the field of aerosols.

At the recommendation of Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), AIDGLOBAL's partner in the “PAB_LivingLab” project, Tiago Faria, a researcher at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), accompanied by his team, participated as a speaker, reporting his exposure to the theme “Know what you breath: understanding and communicating air quality in urban".

Tiago Faria spoke about the importance of ensuring access to information on air quality, to raise public awareness of environmental issues and promote effective changes in behavior, which are essential to minimize exposure to harmful air pollutants.

This initiative is part of the project “PAB_LivingLab – Vive a descarbonização no Parque Adão Barata" promoted and managed by AIDGLOBAL and which aims to reduce the carbon intensity of the activities and services of Parque Adão Barata (PAB), in Loures, through the implementation of innovative technological solutions.

The project partners are the Municipality of Loures, the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon, bim+, dst solar and the Innovation Point [dst group].
